sexy AZ skybox
Ook zonder spelers op het veld is een bezoek aan een skybox een bijzondere beleving. Het is de mooiste plek in het stadion met het beste zicht op de groene grasmat. Jeroen de Nijs ontwierp het interieur van een skybox in het AZ stadion in Alkmaar.
Bedrijven die de skybox huren, ontvangen er hun zakenrelaties. Ontspanning en zakendoen gaan er hand in hand. De eis die interieurarchitect Jeroen de Nijs mee kreeg was het ontwerpen van ‘een functionele skybox die zijn commerciële doel niet kan missen’.
Op de tribune voor de box kunnen twaalf mensen plaatsnemen in luxe fauteuils. In de box zelf zijn ook twaalf zitplaatsen. Jeroen de Nijs koos voor een tafel op barhoogte, waar je makkelijker en sneller een praatje aangaat met iemand. Dit bevordert de dynamiek in de ruimte. Met luxe barkrukken eronder kan er prima aan vergaderd worden.
De plek van de bar is erg belangrijk. Deze is aan de tribunezijde voor het raam geplaatst, want wat is er nu fijner om met een borrel in de hand aan de bar te hangen en tegelijkertijd naar de wedstrijd te kijken? Voor de gastheer moet het op deze plek gebeuren, hier moeten zijn gasten, potentiële klanten, het gevoel hebben welkom te zijn.
De mannencultuur in de voetballerij was voor Jeroen de Nijs bepalend voor de sfeer in de ruimte. Een bezoek aan een stadion is een beleving op zich. Dit gevoel wordt extra benadrukt door de heren in een luxueuze ‘gentlemens club’ te ontvangen. De skybox is een intieme, sexy ruimte met rijke materialen en warme kleuren.
Omdat de skybox smal is en een beperkte oppervlakte heeft (40 m2) zijn de benodigde functies (bar, tafel, garderobe, tv, buffet) ontworpen in een lang, doorlopend meubel van notenhout. Dit ene ‘gebaar’ geeft rust in de kleine ruimte. Grote, laaghangende armaturen zorgen voor intimiteit rond de bar en de tafel. In tegenstelling tot de andere skyboxen in het stadion heeft Jeroen de Nijs geen clubkleuren toegepast. De gasten krijgen hierdoor een andere ervaring mee.
Technische installaties vallen weg tegen het geheel zwart gespoten plafond. Zowel de vloer als de wanden zijn bekleed met aubergine-paars tapijt. De akoestiek is hierdoor zeer aangenaam. Wanneer de muziek na de wedstrijd hard aan staat, trekt dit de gasten van naastliggende skyboxen aan. Blikvanger in de ruimte is het behang op de achterwand: de haan representeert de toeschouwers. Aan de andere wand is er ruimte gemaakt voor een fotopresentatie van de bedrijven van de gastheren.
Sexy AZ skybox
Even without players on the pitch – a visit of a skybox is a special experience. It is the most beautiful place in the stadium with the best view on the match. Jeroen de Nijs designed the interior of the skybox in the AZ stadium in Alkmaar. That was the desire of interior architect Jeroen de Nijs for the design of the skybox in the AZ stadium.
On the terrace in front of the box can twelve persons sit in luxury armchairs. In the box itself can also sit twelve persons. Jeroen de Nijs chose a table in the height of a bar, where you can easier and faster start a conversation. This furthers the dynamic in the room. In combination with luxury bar stools, this enables a good spot for meetings.
Caused by the narrowness of the skybox and the limited area (40m2)the required functions (bar, conference-table, wardrobe, TV, buffet-table) are combined in one continuous furniture made of walnut wood. Big, low-slung lamps provide for intimacy above the bar and the table. In contrast to the other skyboxes of the stadium Jeroen de Nijs did not use the same colors of the soccer club. By means of this the guests get a different experience.
Technical installations disappear in the completely black painted ceiling. Both the floor and the walls are covered with aubergine-violet floor covering . Thus the acoustic is very comfortable. When the music is loud after a match, it will attract guests from the neighboring skyboxes.
The eye catcher of the room is the wallpaper at the back wall: the rooster represents the spectators. At another wall is place for a photo presentation of the business from the host.
The placement of the bar is essential. The bar is positioned at the side of the terrace in front of the window, because what can be better than to hang at the bar with a beer in your hand while watching the match. The bar is crucial for the host to do business, because this is where he wants his potential clients feel welcome.
The male-soccer-culture was elementary for the atmosphere in this spot for Jeroen de Nijs. Visiting a stadium is an experience itself. This feeling will be emphasized by welcoming men in the luxury “gentlemen’s-club”. The skybox is an intimate, sexy spot with rich materials and warm colors.
